Inspired by Chapter 1 of Galper's "Forward Motion" book. Here I use the positions as described by Pat Cloud for G/Em, C/Am, and D7. This tab is restricted to the positions closest to the nut, but once the general idea is attained this exercise is straightforward to translate over to the other closed positions as well. Target notes for the Guide Tone Melody are: ECDBCAB The target notes of the Guide Tone Melody are either a 3rd, 5th or 7th of the given chord, as indicated above the musical notation for the first 10 measures. The fingerings are restricted to be from the neighborhood of the closed position for the particular pentatonic scale. The embellishments are not restricted to the pentatonic scale and include some chromatics. c!s"%).Chordsgousticc "%).Lead 5-Stringc
